Taking first steps into Tolling: RKTech joins the IBTTA.

The global tolling industry, especially Electronic Toll Collection (ETC), is projected to reach $16 billion by 2029. The current growth of digital transformation, smart transportation solutions, and the global adoption of smart city development creates numerous opportunities for technology companies to break into the industry with their pre-existing expertise.

IBTTA 1

Being the spearhead of modern tolling, ETC uses breakthrough transportation technology, such as DSRC, GPS toll collection, and big data analytics to manage traffic in highly congested areas efficiently, easing the toll collection process.

Leveraging this growth, RKTech, our North American subsidiary, has officially joined the International Bridge, Tunnel, and Turnpike Association (IBTTA) to provide the technological support tolling vendors need for their systems.

As a recognized leader in the industry with more than 25 years of experience, Simon Cheng, COO of RKTech, has contributed significantly to the implementation of well-known enterprise-scale ETC systems in North America, including Illinois’ I-Pass, MTA B&T’s E-ZPass, as well as all electronic airport parking solutions. With Mr. Simon at the helm, RKTech can solve problems that arise during the operation of digital tolling systems.

IBTTA 2

While this is a new field for the company, Rikkeisoft and RKTech already have competitive advantages in automation testing, data analytics, BI reporting, and other areas that can be concerns of tolling vendors. Thanks to these, the teams at Rikkeisoft and RKTech can easily transition themselves into new software projects in the industry.

IBTTA 3

At the forefront of innovation, RKTech will provide complete technical support for the tolling industry. With our expertise, dedication, and commitment to excellence, we are poised to significantly assist tolling vendors in North America and beyond where it matters: cost and delivery optimization. We are proud to be a part of the IBTTA and look forward to working with our partners to improve transportation and tolling services for all. RKTech is not just a digital service provider but a partner that can help transform how we move.
