RKTech Welcomes Dr. Marcus Weldon as New Advisor
Rikkeisoft welcomes Dr. Marcus Weldon as the newest addition to RKTech’s Board of Advisors. With a decades-long highly successful career, Dr. Weldon brings a wealth of experience and expertise in disruptive innovation to our team.
Throughout his journey in the technology sector, Mr. Weldon has held multiple important positions. He rose from a research scientist in Bell Labs to become the Chief Technology Officer of Alcatel-Lucent, where he served from 2009 to 2013. Following the acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent by Nokia, his unparalleled expertise resulted in him being awarded the CTO role at Nokia from 2013 to 2021.
During this tenure, he also held the position of President at Bell Labs – the world renowned research organization that is responsible for many of the innovations that underpin the digital age.
At Nokia, Dr. Weldon was spearheading the company’s innovative solutions in cloud technologies, AI, 5G networks, new sensory technologies and novel industrial control systems, amongst other things. These innovations have been instrumental in supporting global telecommunications companies to dynamically scale their networking solutions and automate network operations and service assurance.
As an advisor to RKTech, Dr. Marcus Weldon will leverage his extensive industry knowledge to expand client networks and explore strategic acquisition opportunities, particularly within the AI and cloud networking sectors. Additionally, he will provide invaluable guidance in the field of AI and offer leadership coaching to Rikkeisoft’s Board of Managers.
